Californian sailor, Mark Werder is a two-time prize winner. Mark won a Summer Sailstice Tshirt in our 2017, February Launch party when he posted his sailing plans for this year’s June event: http://www.summersailstice.com/event/flyc-folsom-lake-overnight-cruise-new-york-cove
And the second prize? Well it was actually his first… Mark has enjoyed numerous Summer Sailstice celebrations over the years, and in 2013 he won the Summer Sailstice Photo Competition and scored a GoPro Camera!
If you were to look at Mark’s Sailstice history you might notice that despite being a serial Sailstice Sailor, he didn’t celebrate with us last year. Instead Mark was busy racing aboard S/V Nicole in his first ever Pacific Cup - a race which runs from San Francisco to Hawaii.
Mark got in touch with us last week and sent us this video that he took with the GoPro he won in 2013, saying, ‘It still works great!!’
