The 2014 Etchells World Championship runs from Tuesday, June 24th through Saturday, June 28th and is being hosted by Etchells Fleet 8, the New York Yacht Club, and Sail Newport in Newport, RI.

Join in celebrating the first day of summer with a day on the water
The Monmouth Chapter of SEAS (The Society for the Education of American Sailors) will be sailing it's 28 ft O'Day on Raritan Bay for an afternoon and evening sail to celebrate the Summer Sailstice.
El Toro's and other classes will be racing on June 21st in the Mayor's Cup Regatta on Lake Merritt. Skipper's meeting 10:30AM at the boat house. For info eltoroyra.org from the home page click on the Regattas link and get the info for the Mayor's cup regatta.
We will be departing Sturgeon Bay, WI and head up Green Bay to either Peninsula State Park or Chambers Island for a night at anchor and then back down Bay to Egg Harbor for another night on the hook and plan to take in a Jonny Lang concert at Peg Egan Performing Arts Center.

Many sailors were out sailing on beautiful Lake Sakakawea for the Summer Sailstice. Nine of those sailboats ended up in Berthold Bay and tied up together on shore. It was a beautiful day on the lake but the wind was very light, which is unusual for this lake.
Anything with a sail is welcome to race...not limited to LDYC members, just be at the starting line (in front of LDYC) by noon.

Six boys and 2 advisors from Troop 466 in Sunnyvale CA are sailing for a week in the Florida Keys. We are starting on June 20, and sailing through the Sailstice, up to June 26.
The 133-ft schooner Adventuress, built in 1913, is one of only twenty-five National Historic Landmarks in Washington State. On Saturday, June 21st, she will be setting sail for her first day of a six-day Intergenerational Program.
Since 1906 the Newport Bermuda Race has been sharing the adventure of racing sailboats offshore with the end destination being the beautiful Bermuda Islands. The boats will start on June 20 of Castle Hill Light House in Newport and most boats will finish by Wednesday off St.

South East Alaska Sailing (SEAS) presents the Admiralty Island Rally (AIR) - a 200+ mile circumnavigation of Admiralty Island in a series of consecutive day races occurring in mid-June for 8 days, spanning over Solstice.
Join us, sailing the San Joaquin River, in celebration of the beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. Starting at Stockton Sailing Club docks and cruising down the river, simply enjoy the zen of the season.

As part of the club's regular racing calendar, members will be racing to Dana Point Harbor on 6/21 and then back on 6/22. Many power boaters will cruise there and join the racers at one of our sister clubs for dinner or raft-up and BBQ!

We will have a sunset sail on beautiful Lake Arrowhead. This is a spring fed mountain lake that has 22 miles of shoreline and is over 100 feet deep. This lake is located 40 miles north of Atlanta Georgia. We will watch the sun set behind our beautiful mountains.
