I will be chartering a boat out of Sausalito, Ca for a little three day cruise up the river to the delta June 23rd, 24th and 25th with a bunch of my good sailing crew and buddies.  It looks like I have enough iinterest to make it a twp or three boat flotilla.  I started sailing on the Sailstice

Sailing from Greenport NY, out to and around Gardiner's Island and then returning to Greenport.

At the very least, I plan for us to take our 14-foot Aqua-Finn out for a sail on the East River in Mathews VA, where we've recently moved.  We'll probably take it easy, just out of our creek and across to Williams Wharf and back.

My sailling plans are always 'fluid'.  While I have my own sailboat, I do most of my sailing on OPBs, either as crew on friends boats or crew on boat deliveries.  However, if nothing else shows up for the Sailstice date, I might just be found rowing around the harbor in my dinghy.

Before you pull that sailboat out of the water, join us for the annual FLYC cruise to New York cove.

God willing and if the weather's good, I'll have my Hobie 16 out on the Banana River Lagoon.

Boat hasn't worked for several years but think it is getting close, so just getting away from the dock for a few hours would be great. Hope by June that we are sailing near the Channel Islands and coastline.

Sailing the Stockholm Archipelago aboard a Bavaria 51 for the Sailstice/Midsummer celebrations!

MISSION:  SU4C is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research in the education, prevention, care and cure of all types of cancer through the art and enjoyment of sailing.

Spending a couple of weeks on this sweet little island . . . sailing morning, noon and evening. I love getting grandchildren, nieces & nephews on the boat, having fun, and mixing up beach time, sand castles, swimming, and sailing to keep them active, tire them out, and avoid boredom!

Sailing on Barren River Lake in Kentucky.

June 24, 2017 falls on a Saturday this year.  That works out great for a full sailstice weekend.  I plan on taking a vacation day on Friday and spending the entire 3 days on my boat sailing around Barnegat Bay NJ.  This is a great sailing area with lots of coves and islands to explore.

Ron & Debbie aboard Dessert First plan to spend the Sailstice cruising between Baltimore and Hampton Roads. We will be rafting with several sailing clubs along the way!

We'll be sailing to Encinal Yacht Club on San Francisco Bay for the 17th Summer Sailstice on the Bay.
