At Summer Sailstice we appreciate the support and contributions from our many sponsors and prize donors, and in a way of saying thanks, we thougth we'd give them a big Christmas plug while helping you finish your Christmas shopping!

We realize it's too late to order gifts online and expect to receive them before Christmas Day, but how about "Gift Certificates"? Gift Certificates can not only save the day, but give you a degree of flexibility for when you're not quite sure what to get. What sailors don't like to read about and see pictures of other people's adventures. We have a number of magazines onboard for Summer Sailstice 2016 and they each offer print and digital subscription options -

Blue Water Sailing - authoritative articles from well known experts on everything from sail related gear to the navigator’s table, to the art of cruising;  Cruising Outpost - an entertaining and informative  guide to what it is  really like once you cut your dock lines;  Good Old BoatThis do-it-yourself magazine has tons of great articles about refitting and upgrading the good old fiberglass cruising sailboats we all own and love;  Ocean Navigator - Great info and tips on the real and practical aspects of sailing such as fixing leaks, anchoring tips, resuing old sails, ocean voyaging, offshore sailing, navigation and weather;  Ontario Sailor - Covering annual topics such as boats shows, tuning, maintenance and repairs, haulouts, winterizing and repairs; Seahorse Magazine - The British magazine covering all angles of racing, from Olympic glory to the latest in design and technology in yacht design;  SpinSheet Magazine - The 'go-to' publication and website for boaters and sailors of all levels who seek more fun and sport on the Chesapeake Bay;  Yachting World - From blue water cruiser to super-yacht, this international magazine has the best in nautical writing and photography, up-to-the-minute technical reports, equipment valuation, new boat tests and informed comment. 

Maybe a Glossy Book instead? -

Sally-Christine Rodgers' book Convergence - A Voyage Through French Polynesia is an excellent gift idea. A compelling tale of Sally-Christine's adventures aboard her Wylie 65 Cat Ketch named ‘Convergence’, with her husband and three children, Sally-Christine's book is a must read not just for sailors, but for anyone with a yearning for adventure or an eye for stunning photographs. Plus this book comes with good karma points as all proceeds are donated to a range of marine conservation charities.
