You've probably said recently, "I've always wanted to try sailing." Well, our 3-hour Intro-to-sailing course is here for you!
This course will run through the basics of sailing, introduce you to nautical lingo, and get you out practicing.
Boats and Facilities
Our 3-hour Intro-to-sailing is taught aboard our Sonar class keelboats. These 23' boats have a large cockpit and heavy keel to provide stability. These boats are specifically made to not tip over, so you don't need to worry about that! Each boat will have up to 4 people aboard with a coach, so there will be plenty of opportunities to try your hand at the tiller or just chill out and take in the sights.
Sailing from the Downtown Sailing Center will allow you to see explore Baltimore from the water in a fun and safe way.
Parking is available on site in the gravel lot of the Baltimore Museum of Industry. If, for some reason, there is an event in the lot, street parking is available as well.
Please remember to bring a water bottle, sunglasses, hat, close-toed shoes and a great attitude. We'll see you on the water!
