Summer Sailstice is all about getting people to participate in sailing, wether they’re new to the sport or have simply forgotten to take the time to enjoy its pleasures. SailTime's Managing Director, Kristen Diviney McGarr, was excited to take part in Summer Sailstice this June to share the passion of sailing, and show people how they can get out on the water even without boat ownership. Kristen wrote and told us how SailTime's shared the celebrations during this summer’s event:

“As the leader in fractional memberships, SailTime feels strongly about making sailing more accessible. It made perfect sense to partner with John Arndt for Summer Sailstice who shares that philosophy," stated Diviney McGarr.

"SailTime used the event not only to offer SailTime members a great way to get together and enjoy time at the docks and on the water, but additionally as a way to get people out learning about sailing. Summer Sailstice brought out people really interested in learning to sail and the sailing lifestyle."

"SailTime Virginia Beach held their Summer Sailstice Open House at Tidewater Marina during the Annual Cock Island Race in Portsmouth. While there was no wind on the water to get the sailors going, the docks were packed with boaters and enthusiasts looking to enjoy a beautiful day."

"The longest day of summer was hot in Kemah, Texas, where SailTime Houston, who celebrated their grand opening in the Spring, held a party complete with food from Food Network chef, Sarah Panrod, music from Flamenco Guitarist, Guillermo Serpas, and door prizes followed by free sailing around the Gulf on a beautiful new Beneteau sailboat."

"Summer Sailstice is a great way to get sailors from all over the country feeling totally connected to each other on one amazing summer day. SailTime is honored to be part of the Summer Sailstice events and look forward to introducing more people to sailing in the years to come.”
