Ninnescah Sailing Association celebrates 50 years with Summer Sailstice

The Ninnescah Sailing Association is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary as a club this year. We kicked off the celebration with our Annual Blessing of the Fleet with over 100 attendees.  The celebration began in our clubhouse, the AfterDeck, with a talk from the three pastors and priests that are members about the history of the blessing ritual.  There was then a time for any member to call out the name or names of former members who had passed on.  As each name was called a single toll of a bell was given.  After prayer, the pastors were taken out in the cove by boat where they blessed each boat as they motored or sailed by.  After a nice sail, everyone returned to the AfterDeck for a nice wine and appetizer social to celebrate the 50th anniversary.  A good time was had by all.
