That afternoon, with winds at 10-15 mph, our sailing club held the 2014 Commodore's Cup, the most prestigious race in the club, and the Wild Goose won the cup - the only race she's won in the 25 years we've been racing (my husband and I).
AND to sweeten the pot, my husband and I were celebrating our 14th Wedding Anniversary as well. So it was only fitting that the winner's boat take fellow sailors out for a sunset salute. It was a FABULOUS SUMMER SAILSTICE!
