The first Sea Shanty Shake entry has arrived, and we love it!

We've received the first entry in the 2018 Summer Sailstice SEA SHANTY SHAKE contest. Auguste Fortin and his daughter Camille sang Stan Rogers' Barrett's Privateers, and they did a great job!

To make it even better, they were sailing aboard their Bavaria Vision 42, "Pax", off New Haven, CT on Long Island Sound. Auguste's wife, Oi was behind the camera and with a little help from the auto pilot and light, air captured the song perfectly. But don't just take our word for it, check it out for yourself...

"We sang this in memory of the late, great Canadian singer-songwriter Stan Rogers, whose untimely death left a hole in the folk world. He wrote and performed 'Barrett’s Privateers', one of the best shanties I’ve ever heard. This one’s for you, Stan!" - Auguste Fortin.

How does your Sea Shanty sound? You have until Midnight (PT), July 15 to enter the 2018 SEA SHANTY SHAKE.
