Did you sign up and add your sailing plans as part of this week's Early-Bird promotion?

Gil, Chris and Gail did, and they each won a Silver Spinnaker Bottle Bag donated by SailorBags.

We've already heard back from Gil, who says he never wins prizes... "I am stoked." - I guess you'll have to stop saying 'never', Gil!

Gil will be sailing his Catalina 30BS, Rosinante, out of Alamitos Bay Marina in Long Beach, California.

We've also heard from Gail who says, "...thank you!  Many years I’ve entered and never won a prize. Wow."

Gail is organizing the Greater Detroit Sunfish Club Independence Day Regatta on June 23-24. The plan is to enjoy two days of Sunfish racing on Muskegon Lake.

"There will be races for all sailors mixed, junior races, and ladies races.  Saturday night we have a potluck dinner.  We are going to stay at Muskegon State Park and sail on Muskegon Lake."

Gail says the club is also inviting Sunfish sailors from Chicago, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and western Michigan to join them for the weekend-long celebration.

I am Chris the third winner of Silver Spinnaker Bottle Bags.  Like Gil and Gail I have not won many drawings and I am very happy to have won the excellent Silver Spinnaker Bottle Bags donated by SailorBags.

I did not reply back sooner due to being in the Dominican Republic, taking a break from a long upstate NY winter.  I guess I became distracted by the Caribbean Sea, sunny skies, 80 degrees and snorkling. Now it is back home to 10 degrees and snow and doing some catching up.

Hi Chris, thanks for the dropping us a line. Did you connect with SailorBags so they can send your prize? I'll be sharing your happiness with them and of course the Summer Sailstice community. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page and remember to hit Like and share the post! Hope the snow melts soon!!
