Jeanneau owners in Western Canada are celebrating this year’s Summer Sailstice with the 16th annual Western Canada Jeanneau Rendezvous. Jenny Armstrong from event sponsor, Fraser Yacht Sales, says the Rendezvous creates opportunities for sailors and power boat owners to share their passion for the water, and learn new skills.
'The Western Canada Jeanneau Rendezvous is a chance for our Jeanneau Power and Sail owners to get together and share stories, tips, adventures and socialise with the Fraser Yacht Sales Team in a more relaxed setting. We have a range of owners from brand new coming to the Rendezvous on their first outing to our regulars who attend to catch up with friends each year. Fraser Yacht Sales offers some educational seminars with a different focus each year to assist our owners with their boating.'
Last year’s Rendezvous attracted 35 yachts with over 100 participants. This year’s plans include the Summer Sailstice Parade of Sails which entails the Jeanneau owners sailing a course laid out for ‘fun, safety and low stress.’
It’s also a chance for crews to ‘show off their skills and gain some bragging rights for the rest of the evening.’ The course is set by the Jeanneau Power boat owners who also act as hosts for the event’s photographers.
To round off the event Fraser Yacht Sales’s seminars focus on a different topic each year to assist boaters in getting the most out of their passion and their vessel.
