4-Day Sailing Course on Lake Superior. Starting in Bayfield, Wisconsin we board our sailboat Wednesday evening, June 19. We will daysail on June 20 to get familiar with our boat, then set sail the morning of June 21 to explore the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior. We will guide you through ASA 103 and ASA 104 while living aboard a 35' sloop. We practice docking, anchoring, crew overboard, points of sail, heave-to, reefing, setting a preventer, navigation, engine checks, and all of the skills for ASA's Basic and Bareboat Charter certifications. We will spend the long evenings exploring the National Park islands by dinghy. We return to port June 24. Bring your sleeping bag. ASA 101 is prerequisite for this course.
