Summer Sailstice is dedicated to celebrating all of sailing which, at times, includes a dedication to a sailor. Though we didn't know him, a clearly much-loved sailor passed away just before this year's Summer Sailstice and inspired CORA (Charleston Ocean Racing Association) to dedicate their Summer Sailstice race in his memory. It's a terrible loss for a sailing community but Pat's spirited participation and support of sailing is something we should all remember to celebrate every day. We're lucky to sail and have sailing community members like Pat who make it all so enjoyable.
