Earth day was founded on April 22, 1970 and since 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is water-covered, it’s appropriate that boaters take the lead on protecting and cleaning our waterways. EarthDay.org has declared 2024 as “Planet vs. Plastics” and is committed to advocating for a 60 percent reduction of all plastics by 2040.
