Sailing Education Adventures in San Rafael Celebrates Their First Sailstice

Sailing Eduation Adventures has been teaching sailing to Bay area youth for over 30 years.  Their mission statement, 'Sailing Education Adventures (SEA) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to promoting sailing through affordable instruction and related on the water activities,' has been fulfilled many times over with many alumnae continuing to sail for a lifetime.  Summer Sailstice 2014 was their first time joining the celebration of sailing and they posted a story on their participation:

'Thanks to all of the sailors who joined SEA's Summer Sailstice fun - our first year to officially participate! It was great to celebrate the international sailing day on our waters in the San Pablo Bay. We sailed near the Marin Islands though watched the water carefully so not to get stuck in the mud - with the ebb tide we had to keep a watchful eye for water depth in some areas - all good training to ensure we connect to all the variables in the San Pablo Bay where currents can be strong and we have many shallow areas . . . BUT, we've got the waters to ourselves!! We feel we're in on the best kept secret in Marin with our surrounding island reserves and views of Mount Tam!  Read On.

Time on the water and time ashore together after make for a great celebration of sailing.
