You don't always have to use your own imagination to celebrate with Summer Sailstice. Take a look at this list of events that are Open to the Public. You might find one nearby!

 

Summer Sailstice Rendezvous - Key Largo

Matheson Hammock Yacht Club, Florida Yacht Group, and local Jeanneau sailboat owners are hosting their 5th annual Summer Sailstice celebration in Key Largo, FL, on June 23 - 25. Join the flotilla at anchor off Sundowners, Black Water Sound, and enjoy an onshore dinner at Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill. Contact ddodgen@floridayacht.com for more details.

Sailing Saco Bay

This is the 4th Summer Sailstice celebration for Captain Dave and First Mate Mel, who will be sailing with any friends in Saco Bay, ME, and anchoring at Richmond Island or Cape Porpoise (Stage Island) depending on weather and seas.

Lake Superior Sail

Apostle Islands

Or if you want to sail Lake Superior twice, join the sailors in the 'Caribbean of the North' for their annual cruise in the Apostle Islands on Thursday June 22. You might not even have to leave your boat between celebrations!

Summer Sailstice on the Patuxent River

Join sailors for a day of sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River, MD, followed by a Raft-up on St Leonard’s Creek.

46th Scotch Bonnet Light Race

If you’re looking for a bit of competitiveness, maybe you’d like to join the Genesee Yacht Club for the start of the 46th Scotch Bonnet Light Race - an 82 Nautical mile race starting Friday June 23, in Rochester, sailing around Scotch Bonnet Island, Canada, and finishing in on Saturday in Rochester, NY.

Summer Sailstice Sailebration - Manitowoc Marina, WI

Saturday June 24, from 1pm - This event is open to sailors with boats and anyone who just wants to get out on the water, learn about sailing and to enjoying the experience...You will be welcome aboard. Sailors and would be sailors are invited to gather for an afternoon of fun sailing followed by the Maritime Yacht Club’s Sailstice Sailebration, which we’re told could include a sunset sail and perhaps music and a bonfire!

Sail Nauticus Adventure Voyage

Sail Nauticus, VA, is inviting members and guests to sail to Portsmouth Park on the Western Branch. 

Wind and weather willing, we shall dine in the grass onshore, so pack a lunch and bring a frisbee!

 

Sail Nauticus is a non-profit community sailing center focused on inspiring our community through sailing.
