While we're discussing historic involvments in the marine industry, did you know that C. Sherman Johnson Co. Inc began in 1958, when a man by the name of Curt Johnson Jr. developed the Handy Lock Turnbuckle? After six years of part-time marketing Curt Jr. resigned from his full-time job and went worked on developing a line of stainless steel turnbuckles and fittings. His product was readily accepted by many major sailboat manufacturers, and the rest, as they say, is history.
