NOTICE OF RACE

Where: OCBC on east shore of Lake Hefner, 1/4 mile south of Britton Rd, N 035 33.765' W 097 34.541' Take Britton Rd west to its end, turn south to the East Wharf Entrance, keep left through the OCBC gate. From the North: Take I-35 to the Kilpatrick Turnpike west. Exit on Lake Hefner Parkway south to Britton Road and go west. From the South: Take I-35 to I-240. Go west to I-44. Go north to Lake Hefner Parkway (74N) and continue north. Do not follow the I-44 exit to Tulsa. Exit at Britton Rd and go west.

Facilities: Clubhouse with restrooms, ramps and hoists for launching boats (help will be available), limited wet slips and limited overnight camping on premises. Several hotels and restaurants are available within a few minutes driving time.

Authority: Oklahoma City Boat Club

Rules: All races will be governed by the "rules" as defined by the 2013-2016 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

Classes: All classes as defined by the Sailing Instructions.

Eligibility: Open to any member in good standing of a recognized sailing organization with registration and payment of the appropriate registration fee of $60.00. Sailing Instructions: Will be available at registration.

Schedule:

Friday 1700 – 1900 Registration

Saturday 0800 – 0900 Registration 0930 Competitors Meeting 1030 First Warning Signal Lunch – Sandwiches (off the water) Other races to follow after lunch 1900 Dinner, including Beer & Mystery Dates ($25)

Sunday 0800 Continental Breakfast 0930 First Warning Signal - Other races to follow No race to start after 1200 Lunch (off the water) – leftovers Scoring and presentation of trophies

Scoring: Appendix A as modified by the Sailing Instructions. Five races are scheduled. One completed race shall constitute a regatta.

Substitution: Crew may not be substituted between races without prior written permission from the Race Committee.

Measurement: All boats must be valid one-design boats acceptable to the local fleet, to race in a one-design fleet. All other centerboard boats will race in a Portsmouth handicap division and must have a valid Portsmouth rating. All other keel boats will race in a PHRF handicap division and must present a valid PHRF certificate. For boats without valid rating certificates, the local rating committee will issue a temporary certificate.

Courses: Courses will be determined and announced by the Race Committee in accordance with the Sailing Instructions.

Appeal: Decisions of the Protest Committee with regard to protests, requests for redress and other actions by the Race or Protest Committee shall be subject to appeal according to rule 70 of the RRS.
