Join us for an iconic expedition on an iconic boat to understand and showcase our solution to the biggets pollution problem facing our ocean today: synthetic microfibers!

This Summer Sailstice you will find us on our 60' sailing research vessel, American Promise (Dodge Morgan's record-breaking circumnavigator) in the Hudson River doing a first-ever whole river microfiber sampling study. We are looking at the entire Hudson, from it's headwaters at Lake tear of the Clouds high up in the Adirondacks out to the Continental Shelf off New York Harbor. The purpose of this is to understand more about the problem of synthetic microfiber pollution and help us refine our human-scale solution - our microfiber catcher. This is something everyone can use to be part of the solution preventing microfiber pollution, just by throwing it in their washing machine! Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for more information about Rozalia Project, the Hudson River Expedition and the microfiber catcher! www.rozaliaproject.org and www.facebook.com/rozaliaproject

We will be making several stops in New York City, along the Hudson and in Albany, NY. During those stops, we will have a variety of opportunities to come meet the crew, check out the boat and learn about our work! Stay tuned to our calendar page and Facebook for event dates and details as they become available. On the Sailstice iteself, the weekend of June 18-19, we will be in New York City doing our sampling during the day and hosting events in the afternoon/evening.

We hope to see you on and near the water!
