This Saturday, June 18, Gulfstream Sailing Club will be celebrating our own Sailstice event as part of SummerSailstice.com's world wide events. It will include a morning sail and beginning at 1pm a raftup at Lake Sylvia.
Our event will include the second annual Aquatic Tug of War challenging South Florida Sailors and Boaters. Let's see which club has the best swimmers tugging to their side of the mark with only floatation devices (such as noodles or life preservers) or just treading water!
Also featured will be the opening of a ten-person inflatable life raft enclosed in a hard case for educational purposes ... and maybe the Tug of War judges can be persuaded to view the contest from the inflated raft...if it even inflates.
Optional sleep over for those happy campers/sailors!
