Rediscovering Wind

Sailors have known for millennia that things go better with wind.  The rest of the world is rediscovering the power and beauty of wind as an alternative energy source - the complete reverse from sailors where wind is the primary energy source.  We also know every photo of a city, windpower, a harbor or any body of water always looks better with a sailboat in it.  

The Optimist Daily recently published a story about Germany's rapidly expanding windpower capacity with this feature photo - improved with sailboats:

Nuclear power is a thing of the past in Germany, ever since the country committed to phasing our nuclear plants in the wake of the 2011 Fukushima disaster in Japan. It has already been reduced from 25 percent to 17 percent in the past four years. Although Germany resorted to cheap coal in a transitory phase, renewables are about to come online in a massive way in 2015 thanks to offshore wind. Read more here.
