It's Mother's Day! Will you give your mom your Prize?

To start things off for the moms, and for those of you who love being out on the water and like to adorn yourselves with nautical themed jewellery, here's something you'll like. Canadian Yachting Magazine are donating a nautical inspired sterling silver pendant, "Live Laugh Sail" made by Nautical Jewellery.

Since 1964 this great organization has been supporting and assisting the development of new ideas not just for boating, but for a range of interesting and related products. So go check out Canadian Yachting Magazine and see what other great ideas they support.

Back to the nitty gritty of boating, unfortunately at some point there is work to be done, though if I'm being honest, there's always work to be done when you own a boat, but if it can be done with products that make it easier, then that's definitely the way to go. To help you with this, Team McLube are again donating some of their great products to help keep your boat in top condition. For example, their One Drop Ball Bearing Conditioner will keep all those tricky little round things moving along smoothly, while their HullKote Speed Polish is an environmentaly friendly product that you simply "wipe on and wipe off" so simple even 'Mr Miyagi' would be pleased. This year McLube are also offering their equally easy and environmentally friendly Antifoul Speed Polish, made for everything that's below the waterline.

Speaking of boats, Lagoon America have come on board for this years Sailstice and are donating a couple of sturdy ice-bags which will hold two bottles of wine or other beverage. So after you've done the hard yakka and finished with the dirty work, perhaps you can take advantage of this great prize and sit back with a cool glass of your favourite wine. You may not have the matching boat, but you can enjoy a chilled afternoon on your own deck.

Meanwhile, we hope you all enjoy your weekend and have a productive week ahead. I know we'll all be busy here at Summer Sailstice as we have a number of sponsors and donors waiting in the wings to get up and running over the next few days. So stay well and stay tuned. Happy sailing, and a very Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and mums around the world.
