Rockford Yacht Club will host its first formal Summer Sailstice celebration in conjunction with its annual “Taste of Sail” event. Sailboats will be on display and FREE sailboat rides will be offered to the public. Not sure if you will enjoy sailing or are you just curious to experience how a sailboat works, give it a try at our "Taste of Sail"! If you are already a sailor, June 22 is the day to join us and sail with other local sailing enthusiasts.
The Rockford Yacht Club is a friendly group of sailing enthusiasts from Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of boating activities in the upper Midwest, with an emphasis on sailing. Safety, education, camaraderie, and community involvement are our primary programs and activities.
