Summer Sailstice 2008 was fantastic weekend with almost 3500 boats and likely 12,000+ sailors participating in a Summer Sailstice sail somewhere. The first participants of were likely the Shanghai Boat & Yacht Club with a sunrise sail in Shanghai, the furthest particpants from land were the crew of Glasgow Scotland sailing in the Clipper Race from Nova Scotia to Ireland and the largest Summer Sailstice event for 2008 was Summer Sailstice on Treasure Island in San Francisco.
