Summer Sailstice Pursuit Race

In celebration (or mourning) of start of Summer, Lake Monroe Sailing Association is planning to join the worldwide Summer Sailstice Celebration on Saturday, June 24th , with a cookout followed by a pursuit race.  The fun starts with the cookout at the LMSA clubhouse starting at 4PM. (Rain or shine.) LMSA will provide burgers and dogs. Please bring a covered dish to share.  The pursuit race begins with a brief skipper's meeting at 5PM, with the first boats going off at 6PM. Boats will be assigned a start time based on their handicap. Boats with the highest handicap will start first, followed by faster boats at intervals based on handicap. First boat to finish wins!  Oh, and the handicap for this event will be a specially calculated handicap based on previous results. Trophies will be awarded to the first boat in each class – displacement, planing and multihull.  Come on out and join the fun.
