2015 Commodore’s Cup June 20 & 21 Holland, Michigan NOTICE OF RACE Organizing Authority: Macatawa Bay Yacht Club 1 RULES 1.1 The series will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, Lake Michigan PHRF rule, and the class rules of those classes sailing. 1.2 Each boat shall carry fuel for auxiliary power for at least 5 miles. Each boat shall be equipped and sail in compliance with US Coast Guard regulations and the State of Michigan. 1.3 All boats shall carry a fully functional VHF radio. 1.4 Racing rule 44.1 will be amended to use appendix T1. “The first two sentences of rule 44.1 are changed to: “A boat may take a One-Turn Penalty when she may have broken a rule of Part 2 or rule 31 while racing. However, when she may have broken a rule of Part 2 while in the zone around a mark, other than the starting mark, her penalty shall be a Two-Turn Penalty.” (Each Turn requires one tack and one gybe.)
