1. RULES: This regatta will be governed by current version of The Racing Rules of Sailing ( RRS), the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association and the rules of the International Sunfish class (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions). Juniors sailing in the SAYRA Championship Series shall be governed by the 2015 SAYRA Junior Championship Series Notice of Race. 2. ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to yachts of all classes. Classes with four or more boats entered may compete as a class. Sea Island One Design and all Junior classes need only three boats entered. This is a points regatta for the 2015 SAYRA Junior Championship Series in Optimist, Sunfish and Laser The Sunfish Southeast Regional Championship (WC) is open to all current members of the USSCA and one design Sunfish Class boats as defined by the ISCA. All entrants will be asked to produce a current class card at registration. The top finisher not already qualified will be invited to the 2015 Sunfish World Championships in Peru. 3. SCHEDULE: Registration will be at James Island Yacht Club, Friday, June 19, 1800 - 2100 and Saturday, June 20, 0900 - 1100. Warning signal for the first race Saturday, June 20, will be 1230 for the Junior course and 1255 for the Open courses. Warning signal for the first race Sunday, June 21, will be 1155 for all courses. 4.SAILING INSTRUCTIONS and AREA: Sailing Instructions and course diagrams will be available at registration. All courses will be in Charleston Harbor. 5. SCORING: The regatta will be scored with the low point system as described in RRS, Appendix A as amended to read that a minimum of five races must be sailed before a score is discarded. This changes rule A2. 6. PENALTY SYSTEM: The following sections of Appendix T will be in effect: T1, T2, T3, T4.2 and T4.3. Rules of Appendix T will be elaborated in the sailing instructions including where to go for necessary forms to be completed and to whom it should be submitted. 7. ENTRY FEES: All Junior Classes $ 25 (includes 1 Regatta T-shirt) (Anyone 16 years of age and younger) Single hand Classes $ 35 (Note: Individuals in the Sunfish SE Regional will be $45) Double $ 40 Three Persons or more $ 45 (Note: Plus additional SELD 7$ fee for Lightning) 8. PRIZES: The number of trophies awarded will be determined by the number of boats entering each class, as described in the Sailing Instructions. 9. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY: Competitors participate in this regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. James Island Yacht Club will not be held responsible for any injury occurring on the club grounds or on the water during this event. 10.
