"This is a great idea. We love to get folks out on their boats having fun in a non-competitive manner."

Hawaii Outrigger Canoe Sailors Join Summer Sailstice!

The Holopuni OC-3 canoes are three person, 30’ Hawaiian outrigger Canoes that are joining us for the first time in celebrating the summer sailstice. You can find them the East and West coast, the Great Lakes, California, Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand and Australia.

Founder, Nick Beck of Hawaii , created the original 3 man outrigger canoe “Holopuni”, meaning “to sail everywhere,” in 1981 to explore the coastal regions of each Hawaiian island. From there, the idea has led to Hawaiian outrigger canoes that have evolved over the past 20 years to meet the many challenging needs for paddling, sailing and camping in the wide variety of conditions found in Hawaiian waters.

Nick is excited to join us in getting sailors out on the water and his fellow outrigger sailors are already gearing up for the celebrations. We too are excited to add the Holopuni canoes into the mix and we send a warm welcome to the sailors from the south pacific  and invite them to  join in on the festivities.
