Summer Sailstice - Sail locally, celebrate globally

"This is a great idea. We love to get folks out on their boats having fun in a non-competitive manner."

Celebrate Summer Sailstice with a race and raftup in Reynolds Hollow!

The Cave Run Sailing Association of Lexington, Kentucky, will celebrate Summer Sailstice with a race and raftup in Reynolds Hollow.  Racers will meet at the clubhouse on Saturday, June 17th at 11 am for the fourth race of the season.  Racing begins at 1 pm.  After the races, the plan is to join in on a raftup in Reynolds Hollow at about 5:30 pm.  Everyone will bring a dish to share, and CRSA will provide snacks and soft drinks.  This is the 6th year that CRSA has organized this summer sail and raftup, and it gets bigger and better every year.

Cave Run Sailing Association was created in 1977 to take advantage of the sailing opportunities provided by the newly completed Cave Run Lake, a man-made lake designed to provide flood control for down-stream areas in Kentucky and Ohio.  The club started with ten member families and has grown to more than 100 families today.  CRSA hosts races, provides sailing classes and social events, and supports local charities, most notably through its annual Bluegrass Charity Regatta.  Check out the club’s extensive schedule of activities at http://www.caverunsailing.org/.
