British Virgin Islands - Bitter End Yacht Club plans Summer Sailstice 'Beer Can Race'

Bitter End Yacht Club, home of the Pro-Am Regatta week, will host a low-key beer can race as part of their Summer Sailstice celebrations to be held on the actual solstice, Tuesday, June 21st.  Sailors chartering in the BVI are encouraged to join Bitter End guests in this afternoon and full moon evening salute to sailing at the BVI's best watersports resort.

The event is timed on the solstice to allow charter boats starting in Tortola on Saturday a couple of days to make their way up to Bitter End on North Sound, Virgin Gorda.  An always popular destination for any charter the opportunity to be there on the solstice and for a full moon celebration of sailing will only add to anyone's June sailing holiday.

If you're lucky enough to get there this year make sure you sign up for on the Summer Sailstice website for an opportunity to win a BVI charter for Summer Sailstice 2006!
