"This is a great idea. We love to get folks out on their boats having fun in a non-competitive manner."

Sunsail sailors will join Sailstice celebrations in the BVI’s

Bitterend YC

For the first time in 2003, the BVI Sunsail base will be in the thick of an awesome sailing party to ring in the summer.

This year’s latest destination to observe the Summer Sailstice, the only official holiday for sailors, is the Bitter End Yacht Club, on Virgin Gorda in the BVI.

Sunsail will be offering an array of events for all those interested in participating.

"We're inviting all the boats chartering or sailing the Virgin Islands to take a mooring off our waterfront for a full day and evening of fun for the whole family," said John Glynn, “ringmaster" for the famous Bitter End Yacht Club in the BVI.

"We'll be holding one of our famous West Indian Beach Barbecues, a decorated boat parade with prizes, and dinghy regattas from our waterfront sailing facilities."

There are no rules, fees, or regulations to participate in Summer Sailstice, it's just a great day of sailing for people of all ages and boats of all sizes. Sunsail invites you to take advantage of the longest days of sailing with great savings with its "Set Your Own Sail Weeks - Caribbean Summer Specials."
