We're excited to have global sailing legend, Loick Peyron, signing on again for his 5th Summer Sailstice celebration. This year he'll be racing in the legendary Record SNSM off the South Coast of Brittany which he last raced during Summer Sailstice when he and his crew set the course record aboard the maxi-trimaran 'Banque Populaire V' in 2012. Last year he then took 'Banque Populaire VII' to win the Rhoute to Rhum in record setting time. Thousands of ultrafast miles later on numerous multihulls including many America's Cup foiling days with Artemis Racing, the multi-talented, multi-decorated, multihull Frenchman will be sailing on his classic Walter Green-designed trimaran 'Happy.' ...and we're happy to catch up with him to get this update from Italy:

A pleasure to be part of Summer Sailstice again this year... in fact, in just a few days! ...and this time for the big weekend I will be on my little yellow HAPPY, on the SNSM trophy with my good mate JB The Brave (Jean Baptiste LeVaillant) ...It's gonna be a good trip. Loick has always been an extremely passionate sailor who continues to impress everyone with his own exploits on boats of every size & shape, greatly inspiring so many youth and adults to get out and sail. Summer Sailstice is always looking to connect sailors across the globe to each other while connecting sailing to the public, and Loick's infectious enthusiasm helps us share the story of a global celebration of sailing. Great to have Loick back on board!

Nous sommes très heureux d’avoir encore à notre bord la légende Loïck Peyron pour ce 5ème Summer Sailstice. Cette année, et comme en 2012 lorsqu’il avait accroché le record avec le Maxi Trimaran Banque Populaire V, il sera en course lors du trophée SNSM le long de la côte sud de Bretagne.
Quelques milliers de miles avalés à vitesse grand V plus tard, incluant quelques jours de navigation volante sur les catamarans de la coupe de l’América d’Artemis Racing, notre mulitalentueux, multidécoré Monsieur Multicoques français naviguera ce Summer Sailstice avec son trimaran jaune dessiné par Walter Green, « Happy », et nous sommes très « happy » d’avoir de ses nouvelles d’Italie.
Hello de Porto Cervo ou je navigue avec mes compagnons d’Artemis en RC44. C’est une fois de plus une grande joie que de participer à ce Summer Sailstice… qui aura lieu dans quelques jours… et cette fois pour ce grand weekend je serai sur mon ptit jaune Happy, sur le Trophée SNSM avec mon vieux copain JB le Brave (Jean Baptiste Le Vaillant), ca va être une belle balade, on se retrouve sur l’eau et profitez en bien.. Loïck a toujours été un navigateur passionné et il continue à impressionner le monde de la voile par ses réussites nautiques, quelles que soient la taille et la forme des bateaux, une source d’inspiration pour beaucoup de jeunes
Summer Sailstice cherche toujours à connecter les navigateurs autour du monde tout en connectant la voile au grand public, et l’enthousiasme communicatif de Loïck nous aide à partager cette célébration mondiale de la voile. Une vraie chance que d’avoir Loïck à bord.
