What is the best of sailing? It's the sailing you enjoy most and have shared on the Summer Sailstice site. One of the great challenges of demonstrating what sailing is all about is that it's all so different - racing across the Atlantic in the Clipper Race is very different from rafting up your West Wight Potter on Mission Bay. But all these sailors have found a piece of sailing they like and wanted to share it and connect it with other sailors around the world.

Is it the perfect day for a celebration of sailing? Not everywhere. In the Southern Hemisphere it's the shortest day of the year so registered sailors in Argentina and Australia won't have the daylight we'll have up North. But they will be enjoying sailing which is what it's all about.
There's a bunch of events with Hobie Island Clubs - even in Bulgaria. Understand that's not so impressive if you live and sail in Bulgaria but we live in and sail in San Francisco so it seems far away. But great to be sailing 'with them'.
