Point Yacht Club, Alabama Boasts Harken Video Comp Winner

Becky Graham from the Point Yacht Club in Josephine, Alabama is this year’s winner of the Harken Video Competition.

Becky’s entry titled “Adventures in Sailing and Other Stuff” was filmed entirely ‘on location’, with a cast of more than 50 Summer Sailstice sailors enjoying the celebrations and becoming film stars in their own right!

“We left Pirate's Cove with one goal in mind; find a secluded beach and spell the word sailstice in the sand with our bodies. Along the way, we added another goal; to have as much fun as possible.  I am happy to say we accomplished both goals!” quipped Becky.

Becky's winning entry landed her a treasure chest full of prizes including the Go Pro Hero 3+ Black Edition Camera plus gear from Harken, Team McLube, Ultimate Sailing, Mount Gay and more.  Click here for complete details on the winning booty.

Point Yacht Club are staunch Summer Sailstice supporters and, according to Becky, the credit for this goes chiefly to Jody Horner. You may remember Jody and her vessel S/V Hula Girl from a previous story we posted on our news page - http://www.summersailstice.com/article/fun-sailstice-celebrations-alabama

Becky says the club is now “hooked on Summer Sailstice” and are looking forward to the next celebration, which by the way will be held on the weekend of June 18/19, 2016

So if you happen to be situated around or near Alabama or the Gulf Coast, sail on into Pirate’s Cove and introduce yourself to the now famous crew at Point Yacht Club. By the sounds of things you’ll be welcomed aboard by a great bunch of sailors.
