New Prizes and Recent Winners For 2014

2014 already has winners in Israel, Virginia and Kentucky!  More early drawings coming in the weeks ahead.  An updated prize report follows:

The 2014 prize list continues to grow with great new contributions from companies like Seahorse Magazine, Evil Octopus, Gill NA, Adlard Coles Nautical Books, Pantaenius plus numerous more are ready to be added to the site.  All these prizes are available for you to win when you and your crew sign up for Summer Sailstice.

The weekly prizes are being awarded to participantes and event organizers for 2014.  Mary Greblunas, organizer of the Hampton Yacht Club event on Chesapeake Bay, and Rob Hatcher, organizer of the Port Oliver YC event in Kentucky have both won a collection of America's Cup gear to award to participants in their events.

After Rob found out he's won some America's Cup gear he wrote back to say, '

'Thanks so much for the welcome! The Summersailstice event is getting stronger every year. Sailing in our area has been on a decline over the last decade, but the mission to recruit the next generation of sailors is on and events like this do a great service to it.'

'It's my favorite event on the calendar and I hope we all have the biggest and best day of the season! After the winter we've had I know we are all looking forward to it.'

'We appreciate the swag offer; I will find a creative way to use it. Maybe prizes for last place in the Glow Regatta? Sounds like a way to encourage folks to stay on the water longer ;)'

A recent sign-up in Israel also won a free course from NauticEd - online educaiton for sailors.

From the coast to Kentucky to Israel and Clipper Racers who will be in the North Atlantic, Summer Sailstice is connecting us all in a celebration of sailing.  Now is a good time to post your sailing event or plans (you can always adjust them later) and be in the drawing for our early rewards for celebrating sailing.  Where do you think you'll be sailing on June 21st?  Post it on the site and then hoist sails and get out on the water.
