New Ideas for Summer Sailstice 2014

Every year we add new stories from Summer Sailstice celebrations around the world.  They all add up to a menu of ideas for how you might want to celebrate with you club, class and friends locally.  Beyond Summer Sailstice races, cruises and rallies we've seen things such as:

- GPS coordinates distributed to sail to an unexpected location where the Sailstice celebration is ready
- Summer Sailstice picnics on the water
- Buried treasure with text clues to the destination
- A Sailstice photo scavenger hunt
- Black tie, costume or no costume party!

Many organizations have used Summer Sailstice as an oppotunity to introduce new people to sailing, host an open house or create fund raising opportunities for junior programs.  It's a perfect time of year to link an activity created at your club to sailing events around the rest of the world.
