We live in the Desert, and have Lake Mead to sail in, with alot of sailors including Fleet 51 Catamarans, NYC (Nevada Yacht Club), Sailing Club and a Power Squadron. We all work together in alot of areas, starting with sail training, safety classes and much more to bring the average person out to Lake Mead and meet all the clubs and we make it so new comers can try out all the different boats. Maybe they bought a boat and not sure how to run it.
Fleet 51, is always having someone buying a Cat and not sure what to do with it, contact us for someone to help them with there new Cat, we have many sailors that will go over the boat to make sure it's safe or what it needs, we encourage this. Safety is always first, then take them out and give them some lessons and beyond. It all depends on the person and how much help they need.
I'm a photographer and love taking pictures of action, and this why I love the Hobies, my husband races and I volunteer and take pictures. I've attached a few and hope they make it into the photo contest. The Hobies, NYC, Sailing Club and the Power Squadron
