Contest Winners Announced!

We officially have winners for both our 2022 Video and Photo Contests!

Photo Contest

We had a lot of great entries which can be viewed on our Facebook page.

1st Place:

Ambassador Ashley Flintoff shares sights from the Detroit Yacht Club's Summer Sailstice event on the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. Good looking hat btw. 

2nd Place:

One of Connie Polk's entry from Chatham Sailing Club. Races on Peregrine in the Savannah Yacht Club's Grady Foster Memorial Regatta and rafts up at the finish line. 

Video Contest

We loved each and every entry. It is so fun to see how everyone sails, where they sail, on what and with who. The smies are truly contagious. You can watch all of the 2022 entires on this year's YouTube Video Contest Playlist. It was so difficult to decide but there is only one winner, so we had to pick one...and the winner is!

Winner: 

Mike Danielson of Puerto Vallarta Sailing for his submission of the Umbrella Downwind Regatta. The Umbrella Downwind is a super fun annual event that goes to benefit charity. Watch the full winning entry here. 

Thanks to everyone who took the time and creative effort to enter this year's contests, and to each and every participant for making Summer Sailstice what it is. Mark you calendar for next year, and put in your plan. It is never too early to plan a Sailstice sailing adventure.
