BVI - Florida Sailors Celebrate in the Islands

You can celebrate Summer Sailstice anywhere but it's hard to argue that one of the best places we'd all like to isn't the British Virgin Islands.  It's been the quintessential charter destination for sailors from all over the world for decades.  Fortunately for sailors like Richard Blannin of Florida you can't live much closer to this tropical sailing paradise.  Richard and members of Bay Sailors headed to the BVI Island paradise to celebrate Sailstice and sent in a couple of pictures and this report:

'Bay Sailors is a sailing club for single sailors in the Tampa Bay, Florida area (www.baysailors.org).  2013 is our Club's 20th year.'

To celebrate, 26 Club members chartered 4 boats from Conch Charters in the BVI from June 22 thru July 1. One of our crew was a charter member of Bay Sailors.

It also happened to be Conch Charters 25th anniversary.

Our boat "City Lights" spent Sunday , June 23 in Marina Cay where we watched the super moon rise and celebrated the Solstice.  Two other of our boats were able to find the last two mooring inTrellis Bay for their monthly full moon party.

In Marina Cay for the supermoon.

Bay Sailors spent a wonderful week enjoying the fantastic sailing in the British Virgin Islands.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Bay Sailors 20th anniversary, and my last week as Commodore of the Club.'

Congrats to Richard Blannin, Bay Sailors and Conch Charters on anniversaries celebrated alongside Summer Sailstice!
