Join us in our annual Summer Sailstice contests where you can win prizes from our sponsors and have lots of fun with your family, friends and fellow sailors:
BEST SUMMER SAILSTICE PHOTO
Send us your photos taken on the solstice and you could win a backpack from North Sails or a 2009 Sailstice burgee! Photos can be submitted digitally to Corinna and should be no more than 100 KB in size. All photo’s must be received by 7/30/2011. Winner will be selected by 8/30/2011 and notified via email.
BEST SUMMERSAILSTICE STORY
An autographed copy of “Ready About” is yours if you win our Sailstice Tales Contest for 2009! Stories should be no longer than 300 words and can be submitted via email (or an attachment to email) to Corinna by 8/31/2011. Winner will be selected by 9/15/2011 and notified via email.
BIGGEST SUMMER SAILSTICE EVENT – NUMBER OF SIGNUPS
The Summer Sailstice event team which corrals the most signups on this website in 2011 by 6/17/2011 (midnight PST) will have their club, fleet or group name will be featured as ‘Winner’ on the Summer Sailstice event site. Event participants must register for the same event name. Winning event team host will be notified by email by 7/1/2011.
BIGGEST SUMMER SAILSTICE EVENT – NUMBER OF PARTICIPATING BOATS
We will also feature the Summer Sailstice Club, Association or School team which rallies the most boats signed up to participate in SummerSailstice 2011 on this website in 2011 by 6/19/2011 (midnight PST).
Winners will also be featured as ‘Our 2011 Winner’ on the Summer Sailstice website. Event participants must register under the same Club, Association or School name. Winning team will be notified by email by 7/1/2011.
LARGEST CREW
The largest crew signed up to sail in Summer Sailstice on a single boat in 2011 will win hats for the whole crew. Must be signed up by June 19th (midnight PST) to win.
LONGEST DISTANCE SAILED
The Summer Sailstice signed up boat which sails the longest distance (honor system) in a 24 hour period.
SUMMER SAILSTICE FISHING CONTEST
An award will be given to the Summer Sailstice participant catching the largest fish while under sail on Summer Sailstice weekend. Digital photo must be sent as proof.
